Hi,

Last weekend my friend Jane and I did a stall at The Handmade Expo. There is an official photographer that comes round and takes photo's of the items that you have for sale. The below photo is of the bags that I have made. Soooooo excited.

Christmas Gift Bags

Hi,

I recently made some Christmas bags. On two of the bags I have used the bow from My Favourite Things, it is the Die-namics Beautiful Bows. There is a small and a large one, this is the large one. Both are cut out of gold card.

The bag at the top is using Kaisercraft paper and the tree is cut from the Teresa Collins 25th December Cartridge. They are basically the same design, I just cut the bottom off the diecut tree to match.

The papers are just ones I have had In my stash. I look through them every now and again to remind myself of what I have. Although we can never have too many sheets of paper because we never know when we are going to use them. That's my excuse and I'm sticking to it!

Tie Onsie

Hi again!

I had bought some plain white baby onesie's and wanted to dress them up on using some vinyl I had in my stash. The little onesie you see below is for one of the hairdressers I go to. I wanted to do a little something for the little boy she is having so I came up with the below idea. I used the Brooklyn Cricut Cartridge to cut the tie out.

I think it looks cute. I will start to do a few more as I have friends that will be having babies next year.

Christmas Treat Boxes

Hi,

Time has flown so quickly hasn't it?  3 more days till Christmas!!

The boxes below are cut using the Tags, Bags & Boxes 2 Cricut Cartridge. I made them for the Hairdressers that I go to. I cut them at various sizes depending on the size of card I used. I then stamped snowflakes and patterns on them. I filled them with Quality Street sweets and put a sparkly Lip balm in the Large Milk Carton at the back.

Stag Glass Vase

Hi,

For the craft stall I also decorated the below glass vase with a stag. I cut him out using vinyl and the image from the Teresa Collins December 25th Cricut Cartridge. I cut one image out and then reversed the other image and matched them up so when you look through the vase it just looks like one image. I also added a couple of candles and wrapped them in tissue paper tied with twine.

Craft Fair Photo's

Hello,

Last month my friend and I shared a stall at a local craft expo.  We had a good day and below are a few photo's of my wares that I had for sale.

The top picture is tea lights in a handmade box. I added Washi tape around the tea light outside of the tea lights to jazz them up! The next picture is a bottle gift tag. I added a die cut stag head to it and for a bit of fun added a "My Deer" stamp to the bottom of it. Next are more bottle gift tags, then lip balm holders complete with a lip balm. I did two sizes of pegs. The small ones and the large ones. The baking for these I made from Kraft cardstock and used the Gorgeous Grunge Stamp Set from Stampin Up to make the background.

Baby Shower Card

Hi,

A friend of mine is expecting her first baby and the scan shows it is going to be a little girl. Today she had her baby shower and I made her the card below.  The stamps are from Stampin Up - Baby bundle and the patterned paper is from Die cuts with a View - Nanna's Nursery.

I also stamped the onesie and the duck from the stamp set on the inside of the card but unfortunately it didn't show up well on the photo.

Jemma knew the card was from me as soon as she pulled it out of the gift bag, which I also decorated but forgot to take a photo of!!

Chewbacca Card

Hi There,

As I mentioned in my previous post it was Neil's 50th Birthday. I asked Sophie to make her Daddy a birthday card and she said what do I have she could use. I said anything you want. She looked through my Cricut Cartridges and said she would like to use the Mr Potato Head shadow from the Toy Story Cartridge. She also asked for some felt and black card. I cut the shadow shape for her and left her to create a birthday card for her Daddy.  She is a very clever young lady. She turned 10 this year and she loves to make things. So this is what she came up with.......

She made him a Chewbacca card!!!  She cut the felt out and stuck it on and then drew on a face and added googly eyes.  We just love it. So clever. Neil loved it.

Tardis Card for my Husband's 50th Birthday

Hello,

My husband, Neil turned 50 on the 25th October and I made him the card below. I saw the idea in a cards magazine a while ago and thought that would be perfect for him as he loves the TV series, Dr Who.
I used 1 whole sheet of blue Bazzill cardstock from my stash and tried to get the blue colour as near as possible to the real Tardis. The top two windows are cut from vellum and then thin cuts of blue card taped over the top. I added extra depth to the wooden panels on the doors by adding a smaller square and inking around the edges. The Police Box sign at the back I just typed up in Powerpoint so I could align the wording properly & the sign on the left hand side in the panel is taken from an image online. The light at the top of the box is trimmed by hand and then I used my white gel pen to add the blocks of white colour.

Neil was very pleased with his card. I also made him a cake and put a Tardis on the cake using icing. Sophie has some mini lego Dr Who characters and she added them to the cake for decoration. So as you may of guessed the theme was Dr who, who is also celebrating it's 50th year this year too.

Floral Easel Card

Evening,

I received a pack of papers and toppers recently when I purchased the English craft magazine, Card making & Papercraft, issue 118. The brand is Hunky Dory.

Because the toppers are layered and round I though it would be perfect for an easel card. I cut the card from Birthday Bash Cricut Cartridge at 5 inches. I added the topper and trimmed the edges so it sat nicely. The 'Just for you' is from the Oval All Stamp set and punched out using the scalloped punch that goes with the stamp set. The flowers are Prima that I have had in my stash for a while. Then I added gems for a bit of sparkle.

They make a great easy card.

The Greeting Farm - Sweet & Toxic

Hi,

I though I would use the Teresa Collins Masquerade Party 6 x 6 Paper pad I purchased recently and team it with The Greeting Farm - Sweet and Toxic girl stamp. I have coloured her in using my Spectrum Noirs, I did write down the colours I used when I coloured her in but have put the list in a very safe place! (I will try and find it). I stamped an extra skull and bow and have layered them in her hair. The Happy Birthday is from Stampin Up - Label Love.

Blue Flowers

Hello,

My husband's aunt had a birthday a couple of days ago so I made her the card below. I have used the Stampin Up Build a blossom stamp and punch. The backing paper and card is from Cristina Re. It is a really nice sturdy card and a great base to work with. The paper was white with blue on one side, which I used and blue with white on the other side. I also added some pearls in the corners and on the border. I added a little glitter around the centre of the flower for some sparkle.

Simple Birthday Wishes

Hi,

For the below card I thought I'd just make a simple one using the Papermania - Lucy Cromwell Bunting stamp set. I have coloured the buntings and the birdcages using my H2O's and tried to keep to using the pastel colours for a subtle look. I have also added glitter to the buntings for a little sparkle.

From One Glamour Puss to Another........

Hi,

I just love this stamp. I have had it ages and have used it for many cards. It is from
Stamp-It and is called Bathing Beauty. I have coloured her in using my Spectrum Noir's and used Close to My Heart ink Pads - Creme Brulee (yellow) and Lagoon (turquoise) for the large flower around the edges. The flower is from Hero Arts, it is Sketch Blossom from the Poetic Prints. Again had this one for a while. The shape of the card is arched around the top and reminds me of the old swimming hats that were covered in flowers.

I have given her ruby red lips and blue eye shadow and added some sparkle to her and her swimming suit.

Life is Short, Break the Rules Card

Hi there,

This is a card I made recently using the lattice cut background from Cricut. It is a Cricut Craft Room™ Exclusives, Teresa Collins Basics cut. The stamp is by Riley & Company. I stamped the sentiment and then used one of the larger Spellbinder circles to cut it out and then framed with 3 buttons to match the paper. Love buttons!!!!!

Happy Father's Day Card

Miss Sophie made her Daddy a Father's day card. She went into the craft room and got out the Washi Tape and made him the below card. She is getting quite a liking for Washi Tape just recently and when we are out and about on our travels and we come across some at the shops she MAKES me buy it!!!!!! It is hard to say no sometimes ;)

Daddy loved his card and gifts and has had a nice day of being spoilt.

Thanks for looking.
Hi,
I have been having a play with a stamp and die set that I recently bought from Side Street Vintage - blog link here - http://sidestreetvintage.blogspot.com.au/
They are the Avery Elle Macaroon Stamp set and Die (purchased separately)

I made the below card and thought I 'd do make it using the chalk board effect, stamp white chalk on black card, heat emboss the words and then lightly rub white ink around to look as though the chalk has been rubbed out. There are loads of tutorials and sites online showing and explaining how to do the Chalk board effect. I stamped the macaroons in pastels colours and added liquid pearls to the centre of each one.

Monster High Abbey Card

Miss Sophie made this card for her friend for her birthday. When she gets a new Monster High doll we cut the boxes up and use the images, like she has done for this card. Sophie used the Abbey Bominable picture on this card. The love heart strip is (mum's stash) of Washi tape, the rose flower is made from Paper clay mold from Stampin up and then she added Inka Gold metallic rubbed over the top. The happy birthday stamp is from Label Love stamped in hot pink.

Paper Clay molds from Stampin Up.

Early Bird Latte Card

Hello,

I'm loving my Stampin Up stamps at the moment and I recently bought the stamp set Perfect Blend from the new 2013 - 2014 Catalogue.

For the below card I stamped the cup and teamed it with the Art Impressions See you with a latter stamp. It makes me laugh!

For the inside I added coffee beans from Like it a Latte Stampin Up stamp set.

Hope you like it a Latte!!!!!
sorry couldn't resist

Doggy update

Hi there,

I though I would post a recent picture of my puppies. Buster (the Dalmatian) turned 11 on the 5th August and Millie is now 13 and a half. This was taken the other morning when we were having snuggles after they had come back from their walk and were a little bit tired!

First Day of School Card

Hi,

My great Nephew starts school on Monday so I made him a First day of School card. The background paper is from Doodlebug, had it in my stash for ages. The Paper, scissors and the pencil are cut from the Simply Charmed Cricut Cartridge and the little picture in the right hand corner is stamped using the boy stamp from the Stampin Up All in the Family.

Good Luck for your first day of school Kade, we love and miss you. xx

Koala Hugs Tilda Card

Hi,

Below is a card I made for my husbands aunt who came out to Australia over the Christmas holidays.  We didn't know she was coming and it was a wonderful surprise to go to dinner at Neil's aunt, who already lives in Australia and see her there.  We gave her the card as a little thank you for coming out and sharing some time with us all.

I coloured Tilda (from the Magnolia stamp range) using my Spectrum Noir Pens and used paper from a Kaiser craft pad and the card shape is cut out on the Cricut. Then I wrapped brown twine around the bottom and added a beige button to go with the natural theme of the card.

Stampendous Mermaid

Hi,

I made Sophie a picture using the Stampendous Mermaid stamp. Isn't it a beautiful stamp?  I have stamped her on Watercolour paper and coloured her in using watercolour pencils.  The fancy frame around her is from the Fancy Frames Cricut Cartridge. I have added the starfish to the bottom of the frame and a small sea shell.  I gave the frame a bit of an aged look by sanding around the edges to make it a bit more interesting.

It did sit on Sophie's bookshelf until the Build a Bears and Ty Beanies took over!

I now have her back in my craft room.

Thanks for Looking and have a good weekend.

Art Nouveau Anniversary Card

Hi,

Neil (my husband) and I celebrated our 17th Wedding Anniversary in June. I made him the below card using the Art Nouveau Cricut Cartridge.  The sentiment is from Stampin Up. I have used shades of pink for the flowing material and added small flowers. The main dress is cut from a shiny cream paper I had in my stash. I have added sparkles through her hair but sort of wish I hadn't now.

The next card is what Sophie made us. Isn't is great. She is so talented and made this on her own without any help. The heart die cut is from Memory Box. We were very please to receive her beautiful card.
Thank you baby!
